The first good reason to visit Ramatuelle is to discover its historic center. Located at an altitude of around 130 meters on the heights of the Gulf of Saint-Tropez, it overlooks the Bay of Pampelonne and the surrounding agricultural plain. What’s more, the historic center is organized into streets that wind around the heart of the village. Take a stroll and you’ll discover staircases, narrow passageways, squares and Provencal-style facades, often decorated with plants and flowers. Last but not least, several monuments bear witness to the village’s rich past, including the Porte Sarrasine, Notre-Dame church and Sainte-Anne chapel.

Pampelonne is also associated with the “Tropezian myth” and the filming of Et Dieu créa la femme starring Brigitte Bardot in the 1950s.
